Haywood Community College will host Crafts Professor Emeritus C. James Meyer on Thursday, April 18 in the Professional Arts and Crafts/Instructional Facility, Room 7105 at 3 p.m.
Meyer is Professor Emeritus at Virginia Commonwealth University where he served as head of the metals and jewelry department. His work is exhibited and collected nationally and internationally. More than 25 years of teaching has cemented his significant influence on the world of contemporary jewelry.
Meyer will discuss his work, the Penland School of Crafts, the study abroad program in Cortona, Italy.
